Celebrating and developing each person’s God-given potential to contribute to our world.
We envision communities where relationships are forming and where people are connecting with resources to gain hope and to improve their lives.
Who We Are?
We will seek to collaborate and not compete with other non-profits.
We will listen to community residents to identify felt needs.
We will offer services, resources, and opportunities in a way that leads to empowerment not dependency.
We seek to develop everyone’s leadership ability as God’s unique and amazing creation.
We will promote reconciliation, first people to God and then people to people.
As followers of Jesus, we seek to listen to God and follow His lead.
We constantly seek God’s wisdom, strength, and assistance every day.
We share all learning and materials to strengthen individuals and communities.
My motivation is two-fold. First to share love, hope, and care for individuals who are struggling. Second is to equip and engage the people of God in sharing the blessings they have been given with those who are struggling.
Susan Hewitt | Executive Director | email@example.com
Serving my community by seeking to make generational change has always been a priority of mine. I believe God calls us to be the light in our communities by serving others and impacting lives. Hope is restored to our communities by walking alongside adults and by being a positive influence on children.

Seek the peace and prosperity of the city, has been my motto. Part of what I love about the work we are doing is we are empowering others to gain access and the keys to abundant life that was promised by Jesus.

I’ve always had a heart for kids and schools so it’s exciting to have the opportunity to support churches to connect to their local schools and share God’s love in a tangible way.

I am serving on this board because of UpWorks’ dedication to removing hopelessness from those who are economically disadvantaged. UpWorks may find someone a job, but at its core, it will provide that individual with a holistic approach that can improve their lives.

Assisting and serving in the process of moving people from employment to self-sufficiency would be a joy and a blessing for me…and hopefully, a blessing to others.

Sean O’Neil | Minnesota Chamber of Commerce | Business Development Coordinator
In my nearly 40 years of experience working with non-profits serving the underprivileged, jobless, mentally disturbed and poor one of things I have learned is that much of society as we know it lives in a bubble. Whatever we who live in the bubble can do to support the work of touching people in relationships that may lead to better life outcomes is not only important, it is a calling we must answer.
Bruce Manzey | President Vision Ministry Partners
I believe in empowering individuals through mentoring and skill development to help them lead their best life.
